Each Year the BAF Student Council’s Lightning Talks Committee organizes the BAF Lightning Talks session in the Natural Hazards Workshop. BAF Lightning Talks provide an excellent opportunity for Fellows to present and be recognized for their research. The presentation format is innovative. Presenters use 20 slides and seven minutes to share the story of their work. The images advance automatically, and the presenters give their presentation in unison with the images. These short presentations showcase the work being done in the hazards field by BAF Fellows from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds.
