We also work to develop important partnerships with academic institutions beyond our Satellites. These academic partners may host workshops or virtual offerings or otherwise become involved in our direct programming.
Our partners include academic institutions and universities such as the University of Colorado Boulder and The Natural Hazards Center, Texas A&M University and the Hazard Reduction & Recovery Center, and Arizona State University. Participate in a 5K Disaster Dash
The Annual BAF Disaster Dash 5k is a fun run/walk event held in concurrence with the Annual Natural Hazards Research and Applications Workshop every summer in the month of July.
The Dash is our biggest fundraising event of the year and garners international participation! Proceeds from the Dash support student programming, travel, and research awards.
